Key Issues (Materiality)

The Bell-Park Group identified social issues that should be examined from the standpoint of customers, employees, business partners, shareholders, communities and other stakeholders. We then incorporated items of the industry-specific standards of * the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB) and the impact of social issues on our business operations. Based on opinions and considerations of officers, including external directors, at the Board of Directors, we designated the four key issues.

*The Sustainability Accounting Standards Board is a non-profit organization that was established in 2011 in San Francisco, California. The board has established disclosure standards for items involving ESG that are likely to have a significant impact on a companyʼs financial performance in the future. These standards contribute to improving the quality of information disclosed by companies and to enabling investors to make decisions about companies from a medium to long-term perspective.

The Process Used to Designate Key Issues

Selection of issues from
the standpoint of all
stakeholders

To designate key issues, we began with social issues that need to be considered by using the perspective of customers, employees, business partners, shareholders, communities and other
stakeholders. We then incorporated items of the industry-specific standards of the SASB and confirmed that activities involving these issues will also contribute to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.

Determination of the
impact of social issues

We examined the social issues and selected the most important ones that the Bell-Park Group can contribute to solving. Next, we created a list of key issues in which the issues were divided into three categories: environmental (E), social (S) and governance (G).

Discussions and
